| The Mississippi Mudds is a community theatre group that aims to expand the skills of its members while having fun and entertaining local audiences. Members have the opportunity to contribute or develop their skills in acting and singing, as well as the backstage and organizational aspects of community theatre.
The "Mudds" were founded over 30 years ago by Carleton Place resident, Jan Ferguson. |

| All of the Mississippi Mudds's performances are held on the stage at the historic Carleton Place Town Hall. The hall is wheelchair accessible, thanks to the addition of the elevator in 2001. | ||

| Elections for the Mississippi Mudds board of directors are held at the Annual General Meeting in June of each year.
